Agreement

GameDay Terms of Service

Effective date: . These Terms are written for organizers and spectators using GameDay in the United States. International deployments may require additional disclosures.

Who we are

These Terms are a contract between you and [YOUR LEGAL ENTITY NAME — replace before production] (“GameDay,” “we,” “us”). They govern our websites, dashboards, Progressive Web App experiences, authenticated APIs, and anything else identified as part of GameDay’s product (collectively, the Service).

What you can use the Service for

The Service helps organizers run amateur sports events and youth or recreational teams in the United States. Depending on your role and subscription tier, features may include:

  • Matches & scoring. Create games, update scores, log timeline events, suggest score corrections, and share live or final results through links or QR codes (including time-limited share links for spectators).
  • Teams & rosters. Maintain team profiles, player rosters, default lineups or formations where supported for your sport, and team schedules linked to games.
  • People & access. Invite staff with email or staff-only join codes; invite parents or guardians by email to claim players. Per-match collaborators may receive admin, contributor, or viewer access. Team and match permissions determine who can manage settings versus contribute content.
  • RSVPs.Signed-in users with access to a match may record attendance responses (for example going, maybe, or can't make it) where organizers enable that feature.
  • Photos. Upload and view match photos subject to role and sharing rules. Team members and organizers with appropriate access generally see the full gallery; some share-link visitors may only see photos from the person who shared the link with them.
  • Subscriptions. Optional paid tiers processed through Stripe when available, as described at checkout.

Features evolve over time. We may add, change, or retire functionality; availability can depend on sport, device, account type, or technical limits (storage, rate limits, outages, or third-party integrations).

The Service does not presently provide league-wide messaging to parents, automated player statistics dashboards, or professional scouting analytics unless we expressly announce otherwise.

Eligibility

  • You meet the minimum age communicated at signup and have authority to bind yourself or your organization.
  • Adults are responsible when they instruct the Service to process information about minors, including roster details or sidelines photos.
  • Invited collaborators and viewers must comply with organizer instructions and applicable law.

Accounts & security

Safeguard passwords, SSO sessions, and devices. Notify [YOUR PRIVACY & LEGAL EMAIL — replace before production] if you suspect unauthorized access. Keep billing identities accurate wherever you subscribe to premium tiers referencing Stripe Checkout.

Share links & spectators

Organizers may distribute match share links or QR codes so family and guests can follow a game without creating an account. Share links may expire after the match window described in the product. Spectators who open a link are generally read-only unless they sign in and receive a role that allows contribution. Photo visibility for share-link visitors may be limited to images associated with the person who shared the link, while team members with access may see a broader gallery.

You are responsible for who receives share links and for not posting links in public channels if you intend the audience to remain private.

User content & license to operate

You retain ownership of content you contribute (timeline notes, captions, photo uploads, RSVP notes, roster fields, and similar material). To run the Service, you grant GameDay a worldwide, transferable, royalty-free license to host, encrypt, transmit, cache, generate thumbnails or previews, synchronize backups, troubleshoot issues, enforce these Terms, comply with law, moderate safety, delete or restrict content per retention schedules, and improve reliability—including limited internal analytics aggregated so it does not identify individual spectators. This license lasts while your content resides on infrastructure we control plus a reasonable wrap-up period afterward unless law requires longer retention.

Responsibilities for rights & minors

You represent that you secured any consents—parental authorization, likeness releases for photography, HIPAA authorizations where regulated entities misconfigure workflows, school permissions under FERPA if applicable—you need prior to directing GameDay to collect or expose personal data tied to minors or sensitive institutions.

Prohibited conduct

  • Unlawful, harassing, discriminatory, or exploitative posting.
  • Infringing copyright, violating publicity rights, or distributing malware.
  • Attempting credential theft, score tampering beyond permitted roles, circumventing quotas, scraping without permission, interfering with uptime.
  • Advertising unlicensed wagering, illicit streams, trafficking, harassment campaigns, coordinated inauthentic collaborators.

GameDay may suspend accounts, remove or restrict access to content while investigating abuse, and cooperate with lawful requests. We may preserve logs and related records as permitted by law or contract.

Subscriptions

Paid features bill through Stripe (or successor gateways). Taxes, invoicing descriptors, ACH reversals, refund policies appear at checkout. Processor terms apply to the payments we route through them in addition to these Terms where they conflict with payment processing rules only.

Indemnity

You will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GameDay, its affiliates, and their personnel against third‑party claims that arise out of User Content that you contribute, instructions you give collaborators, fundraising or ticketing workflows you configure, or events you supervise—except where a court finally determines that GameDay engaged in intentional misconduct or gross negligence in isolation from your conduct.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided as is and as available. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law (some jurisdictions do not allow these disclaimers in full).

Limitation of liability

Except where prohibited (for example certain personal injury claims), neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, consequential, exemplary, loss-of-profit, reputational damages even if foreseeable. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to these Terms or the Service in any twelve‑month window is capped at the greater of the fees paid by your organization during that window for subscription access—or US $200 absent a separately negotiated written agreement referencing a higher cap.

Governing law & venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of [U.S. state where your company is formed or operates primarily — e.g. Texas, USA], excluding its conflict‑of‑laws principles. Venue for disputes that do not mandate arbitration rests in the courts sitting there. Local counsel should confirm whether arbitration, class-action waivers, or consumer-protection carve-outs alter this template for your specific offering.

Changes & notice

We update these Terms from time to time. When changes are posted, we will refresh the Effective Date and may notify you inside the Service or via email for material tightening of restrictions. Continued use after the Effective Date constitutes acceptance unless you stop using your account beforehand.
